# On The Team > Independent home technology and energy advice for new builds and major renovations. On The Team works alongside homeowners, architects, builders and specialist installers to translate future home needs into practical decisions during today's build. Technology moves quickly. We keep your build up to speed. Our role is advice, planning and coordination: identifying requirements, asking the right questions early and helping the project team agree responsibilities. This complements the architect, builder and specialist installers. It is distinct from specialist engineering design, installation and certification. Early infrastructure decisions matter. Cabling routes, network connections, sensor locations, power supplies and equipment space can help keep future options open before the walls close. Technology choices depend on the home, the project stage and compatibility between systems; complete autonomy and universal compatibility are not promised. The team's experience includes a large townhouse self-build in 2017. The lessons from that process inform the business's approach. Photography is generated concept imagery. The interactive home dashboard uses simulated data and does not control real equipment or predict savings. Public website: https://ontheteam.co.uk/ Public contact email: getus@ontheteam.co.uk.
